awesome

it really works

Mindfreek

K from a guy who smokes a lot of weed, when I dont have any and cant fall asleep because I cant wind down, the "high" wave really helps. Even if its all in my head, Im relaxed enough to fall asleep and not worry about anything after just 5 minutes if listening. Thanks!

Very impress

Please more loop in Itunes store.

Helps

I always fall asleep without fail. Helps when my thoughts wont stop racing at night.

Uh...

I find the sounds kinda creepy... Doesnt relax me, just scares me.

Interesting application, worth checking out. Sleep induction mode needs improvement.

This application is pretty cool, but I am skeptical if the beats produced have any real physiological affect or its just your brain getting used to the repeating sounds that makes you drowse off and fall asleep. None the less this application is worth checking out. For sleep induction mode, I begin to drift off into sleep at the low frequency sounds but get jolted back to reality when the sound goes back up to the higher frequency. I think it would be a lot more effective if the frequency started off high and goes down to a slow 1 Hz over a period of 10 minutes and stops, or continues at the low that frequency indefinitely.

Not too shabby

Other than the wonky volume slider, this app is definietly recommended to anyone with an interest in binaural beats. Interface looks nice but would benefit from visualizations or having a "vis" mode where you can see the sine waves resonate. This thing us great for annoying the family cat as well :) other sessions (ie. Lucid dreaming mode) would be appreciated. Thanks!

Really works

Awesome app; I use it all the time and it works great for me.

The app needs tweaking

I use the study aid a lot. I find it really helpful. But the app itself is a little clunky. It would be much smoother if it remembered, say, the last selection and time duration that was selected. Auto-resume after a phone call would be a nice touch, as well. But, overall, I really appreciate this app. Its a great noise-drowner, sleep aid, concentration aid.

Cool

Crazy high mind freak is rather beautiful then anything. Its like a never ending track of john serrie. As for the other tracks, they are ok some of them dont work on me. Like the sleeping one. Just the other night I could not sleep at all, and I laid in bed for a little over an hour listening to it, didnt do anything. But the idea is good, maybe my brain just works differently. It deserves around 3 stars, but I gave it 4 because of that beautiful track that I listen to a lot

Hmph

If you believe this quackery, I have a bridge you might like to buy. What did P.T Barnum say was born every minute?

One of my most used applications!

I bought this before there were tons of reviews here on it. I took a look on Wikipedia to learn about binaural tones, and though, "why not, its only 2 bucks! Even if it doesnt work Im only out a couple dollars." Here I am about three weeks later and Im using it with a variety of the included modes. Firstly I use it every night to help me sleep. I live on a fairly busy street for my city, meaning if I want to have fresh air while Im sleeping I need to suffer through the noises of cars, ambulances, fire trucks and buses. Normally Im forced to shut the window, but now I can leave it open... I simply pop in some headphones and use MindWaves sleep induction and I wake up feeling refreshed and ready to go; that feeling that I only used to get once a month (if that)! Last night is another good example of this being put to good use. I was studying at school - trying to suffer through a Human Resources Management chapter on cultural diversity (there are some interesting parts, but they are few and far between). I was originally listening to some classical, my previous favourite while studying, but found that I was starting to fall asleep around 7pm - way too early! I swapped apps over to MindWave, selected "Get Focused" and hit play... in minutes I was not feeling tired at all, reading attentively and managed to finish the last half of the chapter in 1/2 the time that I had read through the first half! While at work, in a commissioned retail environment, one of my coworkers was nearly falling asleep - it was severely hindering his ability to sell. He couldnt run out for coffee since someone else was currently on break. I suggested that he try out the coffee mode of MindWave, so I set it up, he popped in some headphones and started at it. He was initially very skepticle, and I even told him up front, "I have no idea if this works, but its worth a shot" - particularly because I had just bought the app a couple days before and had not tried the coffee mode. In 15 minutes he reported that he was feeling completely refreshed and awake. Thirty minutes later he had brought in his first sale since the start of the day, with another to follow soon after. Like others have said, its possible that its the placebo effect, but the more this continues to work for more and more people (including me) on here, the less I believe we can attribute this to the placebo effect. Perhaps if the app were 20 bucks we could say that its only working because people feel they need to get their moneys worth, but at $2 I dont feel that way at all... I buy tons of apps for $5 or less just to try them out and have rejected many of them as horrible almost immediately, so I dont see why this should be any different in terms of my objectivity on the matter. In conclusion, I highly recommend this to anyone thinking about trying it out. Although some have reported that it has not worked for them, I dont see how 2 dollars can be thought of as a waste... That pop you bought the other day cost approximately the same amount and yet its gone now... at least as much of a waste in my eyes.

a great tool

really helps u do what the selected tone says it will do... sleep induction works like a dream lol :P

Nil

No wonder there are accounts of alien abduction. When I first listened to this, I thought the mothership was coming to get me too.

pretty cool

the sleep aid one puts me right out & i have major trouble getting to sleep, the timer doesnt always work tho...

Excellent but

I would really like to see some tones from "mindfreak"...specially out of body experiance

I dont buy it

Placebo effect anyone?

Latest update ruins app

Wish I kept the old version. Did not have to scroll 4 windows to get to the sound I wanted.

I dont like it now

I dont like this aps version the original was a lot better i paied for that and its been change in a way that is the same as mind wave2 that i paied for too, i feel like you make me paied twice for the same thing beside i was already regreting my money for mind wave 2 and now i regret my money for the first one too :-(

Why the change

why would the developer change this app so that it is the same as the other app he sells? waste of money, I now have 2 apps that are exactly the same. and no iOs Support!
