Is this a joke?

Binaural sounds are suppose to be two separate solid tones at minimally differing frequencies played in separate ears that create a beat in your mind when mixed together. This is just an imitation of that beat you hear from a real binaural frequency. Ill prove it, play one of these tones and take off a single earphone, you ought to hear a solid tone; but instead you hear an imitation of a beat. This is either intentional trickery of the public, or the sound files got messed up in an update; but this app will NOT do what it claims.
